About the opportunity
The Sydney School of Health Sciences is currently undergoing a period of significant investment by the Faculty of Medicine and Health. To support the delivery of the University’s ambitious strategic plan, we are seeking individuals who are passionate about improving health outcomes and advancing health equity at local, national and global levels. We are looking for candidates who are committed to high-quality teaching, and are team players ready to contribute to the School’s education activities.
We are seeking to appoint a number of Postgraduate Fellows who are currently enrolled full-time or part-time in a Master’s or Doctoral degree within the University of Sydney on a fixed-term, part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week). These positions will be located in the Susan Wakil Health building on the Camperdown Campus.
These positions offer an opportunity to develop and contribute to education and teaching in OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, SPEECH PATHOLOGY, PHYSIOTHERAPY, EXERCISE AND SPORT SCIENCE, MEDICAL IMAGING SCIENCES AND BEHAVIOURAL AND SOCIAL SCIENCE IN HEALTH , as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
These positions provide higher degree research candidates with structured and supported opportunities to develop their teaching practice, gain classroom experience, and build an academic teaching profile while progressing their studies. In this capacity, Postgraduate Fellows contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching while progressing their academic studies.
Employment as a Postgraduate Fellow is conditional on continued enrolment in a postgraduate program and will cease on the specified contract end date or earlier if that enrolment ends. Where permitted, a Postgraduate Fellow who completes their award requirements may continue in the role for the remainder of their contract, subject to approval.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
Undertake teaching activities within your discipline, contributing to high-quality teaching and learning outcomes
Deliver teaching in accordance with the University’s expectations and standards for education
Carry out administrative tasks primarily connected with your teaching area and discipline
Contribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabled
Support the School and Faculty’s education priorities
Undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required .
About you

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
