The ERH team is currently recruiting for an
Employee Relations Adviser to join the team.
This is a
full-time, permanent position that will be based in the Perth CBD office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide accurate and timely over-the-phone ER/HR advice to members, ensuring complex matters are escalated or referred appropriately.
- Interpret and apply Modern Awards and the Fair Work System to various staffing scenarios.
- Keep your technical knowledge sharp by staying abreast of legislation, case law, and relevant updates.
- Contribute to CCIWA’s ER resources by updating publications, award services and information sheets.
You will also be given the platform to:
- Attend CCIWA’s IR Masterclass and other relevant workplace training courses
- Support Consulting Matters: Assist on high-level projects and specialized HR/ER consultancy.
- Deliver Workplace Training: Facilitate sessions that empower WA employers.
- Present at Events: Build your professional profile by presenting at industry functions and webinars.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are patient, analytical, and technically minded. We will determine the appropriate level (Adviser or Senior) based on your depth of experience and technical proficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will also have:
- A strong technical understanding of the Fair Work System and the National Employment Standards (NES).
- Demonstrated experience in applying and interpreting Modern Awards (essential).
- A tertiary qualification in HR, IR, ER, or Law (completed or currently studying).
- Outstanding communication skills with the confidence to present and train in front of an audience.
- A "growth mindset" with a desire to specialize in a specific industry or technical field.
