About The Company
Our client is an Adelaide-based legal practice working closely with clients across games, technology and entertainment. This is not your traditional buttoned-up law firm. The team values good people, clear communication and an inclusive workplace where different personalities and ways of thinking are welcomed.

They are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, spotting ways to make things work better and becoming a trusted part of a small team.

The Role - What You'll Do
This is a hands-on bookkeeping and administration role supporting the day-to-day running of the practice. You will work closely with the firm's leadership team and external accountant, taking ownership of billing, Xero and the paperwork that keeps matters moving.

You will prepare and issue engagement letters, cost agreements and invoices, follow up outstanding payments and make sure financial information is accurate and up to date.

More importantly, they are looking for someone who can look beyond simply entering numbers into Xero. You will help identify issues, provide useful financial insights and suggest improvements to make billing and administration more efficient.

Depending on your strengths, there is also scope to take on broader office management responsibilities and shape the position over time.

What You Bring - Key Skills & Traits
Essential

Strong practical experience using Xero, ideally around 5 years
Confident managing invoicing, billing and accounts receivable
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Comfortable following up outstanding invoices and payments
Able to identify issues and provide useful financial insights
Proactive and comfortable working independently
Good communication skills and an easygoing, collaborative attitude
Comfortable working within a flexible, partly remote team environment

Desirable

Experience within a legal, professional services, technology or creative business
Understanding of the games or entertainment industries
Experience improving bookkeeping or administrative processes
Previous office management or broader administration experience
Less experience in Xero may be considered if you can demonstrate strong practical knowledge and confidence with the platform
