About the Role
Working within our Melbourne studio and as part of our Education team, you will play a key role in leading the design and delivery of complex, high-quality projects from the front end through to completion.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect who is confident taking ownership of projects, working directly withclients and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams. You will bringstrong design capability, technicalexpertise and a collaborative approach, with the ability to confidently lead projects from briefing and concept through to delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead projects from briefing and concept design through to documentation and delivery, taking ownership of project outcomes end-to-end
Build strong relationships with clients, leading client briefings, presentations and project discussions
Develop detailed project briefs and ensure client requirements are clearly understood and reflected throughout the design process
Lead and coordinate project teams, consultants and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Prepare and oversee high-quality design and technical documentation, with a strong focus on Revit delivery
Proactively identify and resolve design, technical and coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle
Keep the Project Leader and wider team informed of key project, design, technical and delivery considerations
About You
We look forward to welcoming an experienced and design-focused architect who brings:
6-15 years’ professional experience, ideally with experience leading projects from briefing through to delivery
Demonstrated experience working as a Project Leader or leading the front end of projects
Strong Revit skills and confidence producing and overseeing high-quality documentation
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently lead client meetings, presentations and briefings
Demonstrated experience developing and managing detailed client briefs and translating requirements into successful design outcomes
Strong project coordination skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and consultants
Experience delivering projects end-to-end, with a strong understanding of the relationship between design, documentation and delivery
Strong design communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate design concepts through drawings, imagery and presentations
Experience across the Education sector would be highly regarded
Working knowledge and experience applying the requirements of the BCA/NCC and other relevant standards
A collaborative approach, strong attention to detail and a passion for design excellence
