Your Opportunity
As the Librarian, Library Learning Services you will:
Deliver high-quality library and information services, resources and programs that support student success, academic achievement and learning outcomes.
Lead the development, acquisition and management of library collections and resources to support educational delivery, course development and organisational priorities.
Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships across TAFE Queensland to support teaching, learning and continuous improvement.
This position reports to the Team Leader, Library Learning Services.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.
The position is an on-campus role based primarily at South Brisbane, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
Provide specialist library support and advice to educators, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and Higher Education areas, building stakeholder relationships and subject expertise to support teaching delivery, educator engagement, industry alignment and student success.
Develop, maintain and promote library resources, including subject guides, while supporting educators in the effective use of copyright, TAFE Queensland Intellectual Property (IP), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Open Access resources.
Research, evaluate and recommend library resources to support course development, registration and delivery across TAFE Queensland.
Manage library collections, budgets, vendor relationships and procurement activities to select, acquire and maintain resources that support curriculum and organisational priorities.
Review, assess and maintain library collections to ensure ongoing quality, relevance and accessibility in support of teaching, learning and organisational priorities.
Contribute to projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activities to enhance service delivery and support organisational priorities.
Design and deliver information literacy programs to develop students' research, referencing, information literacy and digital capabilities across virtual and face-to-face learning environments.
Provide research, referencing, and library support services to students and staff, delivering responsive library services that support learning outcomes and academic success, including client service delivery as required.
Contribute to Library Network and TAFE Queensland forums, committees and planning activities to support the strategic and operational priorities of the TAFE Queensland Library Network.

Proven ability to develop, evaluate and manage library collections and resources, including acquisitions, budget management and resource selection, to support educational delivery and organisational priorities.
Highly developed communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and provide specialist advice to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proven ability to design and deliver information literacy initiatives and learning resources that develop information literacy and digital capabilities across diverse learning environments.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute positively to projects, initiatives, continuous improvement activities and organisational outcomes.
Mandatory requirements
Possession or near completion of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Library and Information Studies which allows eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Demonstrated experience in library service delivery.
