We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinician (Max term Parental Leave Cover) to join our team, providing clinical support and supervision to the team and provide assessment and intervention to young people and families using a trauma-informed approach to enhance mental health and wellbeing outcomes.

This is a 12-month max term part-time parental leave cover contract role until July 2027 based in Hawthorn.
Renumeration: Base salary, plus super and community service salary packaging benefits.
To support work-life balance, we offer applicants the flexibility to work between 0.6EFT and 0.9EFT, depending on their preferences and availability.
What you will be doing Key Responsibilities
-
Provide operational leadership and line management to the Team at headspace
-
Working within the Leadership team to manage rosters, oversee waitlists and demand management
-
Deliver individual, group and family support
-
Provide case management/care coordination to a small number of young people with complex and chronic risk
What you will bring Key selection criteria
-
Postgraduate qualifications in psychology and current registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker
-
Demonstrated experience working in youth mental health, alcohol and other drugs, community or similar health services (minimum five years’ experience)
-
Demonstrated high level of skill in clinical risk assessment and management, including assessing for risk of suicide, self-harm and other risk domains

Recognised qualifications/training and demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision

Registered with AHPRA as a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, or ability to register within first six months of employment

Demonstrated ability to work creatively and respectfully with people from a diverse range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including LGBTIQA+, culturally and linguistically diverse, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
