Pullman & Mercure King George Square is a vibrant 438 room twin towered hotel which acts as a sanctuary for leisure and business travelers. Located opposite King George Square, City Hall and ideally situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD the hotel has some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane incorporating 2 ballrooms. The hotel also features the amazing and extremely popular venues of Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Cafe, Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar as well as KG Sports Bar.

Job Description
Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, with regular access to the Executive Assistant Manager your primary responsibility is ensuring a high level of guest service at all times across the hotel.
As Assistant Manager - Nights, your tasks and responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to the following:

Assist with the management of all operational departments

Management of roster, costings and forecasting

Professional development of Front Office All Rounders, Night Audit and Night Supervisor team to ensure strong succession planning

Involvement in and management of guest satisfaction

Process and assist with check-in, check-out of guests, ensuring all procedures are adhered too.

Assist in all areas of the hotel to eliminate potential issues including Food & Beverage operations
-
Immediately attending to guest requests, leading by example to other members of the team by being proactive and resourceful.

Responsibility for the health and safety of all patrons, guests and staff members.

Overseeing the whole guest experience from reservation through to departure.
Your ability to ‘surprise’ our guests with your natural bright and bubbly customer service style is what sets you apart from the rest. You are naturally a confident person who is able to approach people and initiate conversation.
You are able to manage your time and can handle juggling numerous tasks at once.
Qualifications

Experience in Opera Cloud, Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Senior First Aid Certificate

QLD RSA & RMLV approved manager required

Open manual drivers license

A hands on approach to solving problems

Exceptional communication skills
You will be available to work varied shifts, across a 7 day period, from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends, overnight and Public Holidays as per our business demands.
