Greenroom Robotics is an Australian maritime technology company building software that helps vessels operate more safely, intelligently and autonomously.
Our products are being deployed across commercial maritime, offshore, survey and defence environments. As our customer base grows from individual projects into larger, longer-term fleet relationships, we are looking for an experienced Account Manager to help our customers realise the full value of working with Greenroom.
This is not a transactional sales role.
You will own a portfolio of important commercial maritime relationships, staying close to customers from post-sale handover through delivery, renewal and expansion. Your success will come from understanding how your customers operate, earning their trust and helping Greenroom become a long-term part of their business.
The role owns customer relationships, retention and account growth, while working closely with Greenroom’s Operations and technical teams to ensure commitments are understood and customers remain well supported.
- Own the ongoing commercial and strategic relationship with a portfolio of Australian maritime customers.
- Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s operations, priorities, challenges and future plans.
- Act as the principal commercial point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Build structured account plans covering relationship health, customer objectives, renewals, commercial risks and growth opportunities.
- Work alongside Operations and engineering teams during vessel integrations and deployments, helping set expectations and maintain customer confidence.
- Identify and progress opportunities for renewals, additional vessels, expanded software capability and broader fleet adoption.
- Lead regular customer reviews and ensure actions and commitments are followed through.
- Represent Greenroom at customer sites, industry events and operational demonstrations.
- Bring customer feedback and market intelligence into Greenroom’s product and leadership teams.
- Help create the account management systems and practices Greenroom will use as its commercial portfolio scales.
The role is expected to identify renewal, expansion and upsell opportunities while maintaining a clear forecast of account growth—not simply service existing orders.
You are an experienced customer-facing professional who enjoys building trusted, durable relationships in complex environments.
You know that strong account management means more than checking in before a renewal. You invest time in understanding the customer’s organisation, build relationships across multiple levels and stay engaged when delivery becomes complicated.
You will ideally bring:
- Experience in account management, customer success, business development or a similar customer-owning role.
- A strong record of retaining and growing complex B2B accounts.
- Confidence working with senior customer stakeholders as well as operational and technical teams.
- Commercial judgement and the ability to recognise opportunities without forcing an artificial sales process.
- Strong communication, organisation and follow-through.
- The ability to manage competing priorities across several active accounts.
- A willingness to travel regularly and spend meaningful time with customers.
- A degree in business, engineering, commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in maritime, offshore, survey, robotics, industrial technology, autonomy or another complex technical sector would be highly regarded.
