About Yamagen
Step into Yamagen, a cool and casual izakaya drink and dine experience folded with formidable culinary discipline — new generation Japanese for the discerning diner. We're looking for a motivated Commis Chef with a passion for Japanese cuisine to join our high-energy, award-winning team. If you've got a "team-first" attitude, an eye for detail, and the drive to grow with Australia's leading designer hotel brand, we'd love to hear from you!

Skills & Experience

1+ years of experience as a commis chef working in hotels, restaurants or bistros.
Experience working in a Japanese restaurant and on different sections of the kitchen is ideal, but we can train you.
Passion for cooking good food and working breakfast or dinner shifts.
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WH&S practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and follow kitchen procedures.
Passion for food preparation and willingness to learn across all kitchen areas.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a professional attitude.
