At Columbia Aged Care, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant in Nursing to join our Care team to be on night shifts.

Description:

About the role:

Will be covering our night shifts.
Assist residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a sense of dignity and respect.
Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to registered nurses.
Assist with mealtimes, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration.
Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
Participate in resident care planning meetings and follow individualized care plans.
Document care provided in residents' charts accurately and efficiently.
Participate in activities and social programs, fostering a sense of community
Maintain a positive and professional attitude, building rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.

The ideal candidate:

A current AIN qualification (Certificate IV in ageing and individual support).
A genuine desire to work with seniors and improve their quality of life.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and families.
Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
Reliability and a commitment to high standards of care.

Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
Ability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
