Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a Data and Integration Consultant to join the Information Technology Department at Australia’s pre-eminent biomedical research institute.
About the Position
Workday is WEHI’s enterprise system for people management, finance and procurement, underpinned by a complex landscape of integrations with banking, payroll, procurement, research, identity and reporting systems.
Reporting to the Senior ERP Program Manager, the Data and Integration Consultant is responsible for supporting and maintaining the array of Workday integrations and data structures — designing, building/refactoring, testing, deploying, documenting and supporting integrations between Workday and other systems, within agreed scopes and timeframes.
Selection Criteria
Knowledge and Skills:
5+ years experience in data extraction and transformation
Expert Workday integration knowledge and application across EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, SFTP/API, flat file ingestion and Adaptive Planning integration methods - Knowledge of Workday Orchestrate, Reports-as-a-Service (RaaS), Workday Query Language (WQL) desirable
Intermediate Workday Financial, HCM and Adaptive Planning application knowledge (ie. understanding/updating system configurations, relationships with business processes, technical application, report creation/generation)
Demonstrated experience in management of integrations and data flows
Level 1-3 support experience, including root cause identification/resolution of integration issues within defined timelines.
Experience using ticket management systems (ie. Fresh Service, JIRA Service Management)
Intermediate to expert integration knowledge/capability (ie. data mapping, data conversion protocols)
Intermediate to expert database management capability, (ie. data structures, data security and access standards, database management protocols)
Intermediate level testing skills (ie. building test plans, executing tests on updates/changes to Workday HCM, Financial and Adaptive Planning integrations and providing feedback to third party developers)
Provision of expert advice regarding Workday HCM, Financial and Adaptive Planning integration capability and solution design
Intermediate data conversion capability regarding ERP or system implementation projects, including data extraction, transformation, mapping, validation, reconciliation and archiving
Intermediate documentation capability (ie. creating/maintaining process maps, user guides, training materials)
Experience using knowledge management tools (ie. Wiki's, Confluence)
Personal Qualities:
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
Collaborative style with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple project tasks to completion.
Terms of Appointment
This position is fixed term until December 2027 in a full time capacity. Very attractive salary packaging options are available for general living expenses, meal entertainment, novated leasing and more. 12% superannuation payable, plus up to a further 5% after the first 6 months of service via our matching superannuation scheme.
