The Role
We are seeking a Finance Manager to help lead Seminal's financial planning, reporting, and operational finance functions. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and decision support across the business. You will also play a key role in improving financial systems, processes, and controls as the company continues to grow globally.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Melbourne, working closely with leadership and key stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Analyse financial performance and identify key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Deliver actionable insights to leadership through regular reporting and analysis.
- Support strategic planning, scenario modelling, and investment decision-making.
- Prepare monthly management reporting packs and executive dashboards, delivering clear insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Prepare Board reporting materials, including financial performance updates, forecasts, key business metrics, risks, and strategic analysis.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modelling, valuation analysis, scenario planning, and investment evaluation.
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
- Support audit processes and liaise with external advisors where required.
- Maintain strong financial controls and governance processes.
Business Partnership & Operations
- Partner with leaders across the business to understand financial impacts and support commercial decision-making.
- Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Support licensing, retail, technology, and international operations through financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist with cash flow management, treasury planning, and working capital optimisation.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and operational processes.
- Leverage automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Develop dashboards and management reporting frameworks using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and corporate services.
Team Development
- Mentor and support junior finance team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to building a scalable finance function capable of supporting global growth.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience across accounting, finance, audit, FP&A, or commercial finance.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Experience preparing management reports and delivering financial insights to stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Experience working with ERP, accounting, CRM, and business systems.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

- Experience in technology, licensing, intellectual property, media, retail, consumer products, or high-growth businesses.
- Experience building reporting systems and finance processes from the ground up.
- Experience using AI and automation tools to improve finance workflows.

- Experience supporting fundraising, acquisitions, or strategic transactions.
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Experience preparing Board papers, Board reporting packs, and investor-facing financial materials.
- Experience in business valuation, financial modelling, investment analysis, mergers & acquisitions, or corporate finance.
- Experience supporting capital raising, strategic transactions, acquisitions, or due diligence processes.
