We are looking for a capable and hands-on IT Systems Administrator to join our technology team at our West Perth office!
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to work across Microsoft 365, systems administration, endpoint management, user support, networking, cyber security and backup/recovery in a collaborative environment.
You will work closely with our Technology Manager, Junior IT Specialist, and remote IT support teams to help maintain secure, reliable and responsive IT services across the organisation.
About the role
- Providing Level 2/3 IT support across devices, peripherals, connectivity and business applications
- Administering Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint
- Managing user access, permissions, shared mailboxes, groups and endpoint policies
- Supporting cyber security controls including endpoint protection, access policies, filtering and monitoring
- Assisting with infrastructure and network support including switches, wireless, VLANs and connectivity
- Maintaining backup and recovery systems across cloud and on-premises environments
- Supporting specialist systems including remote labs and technical software environments
- Coordinating with vendors and assisting with procurement of hardware, software and services
- Contributing to process improvements, documentation and operational reliability
About you
- Experience in a similar Systems Administrator / IT Administrator / Infrastructure Support role
- Strong Microsoft 365 experience across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID and Intune
- Solid troubleshooting skills across end-user devices, software, AV, networking and connectivity
- Exposure to security, backup/recovery and systems administration in a business environment
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering great internal service
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
- Must be Perth based
Highly regarded
- Experience with Sophos, Ubiquiti, Synology or equivalent platforms
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, DLP, audit, compliance or data governance tools
- Experience supporting remote learning, remote labs or specialist software environments
- Relevant Microsoft, cybersecurity or infrastructure certifications
