Carpenter

Job Description

As a Carpenter, you will carry out commercial carpentry, maintenance, and fit-out work across multiple client sites. The role involves repair, installation, and refurbishment tasks in commercial buildings such as offices, retail spaces, and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform repair and maintenance carpentry in commercial buildings

Install and repair doors, frames, partitions, wall structures, ceiling grids, and panels

Carry out cabinetry, joinery, shelving, and fixture installations

Support office, retail, and commercial fit-out projects

Assist with refurbishment and renovation works

Complete reactive maintenance and urgent repair jobs

Travel between multiple client sites daily

Work independently or within small maintenance teams

Follow WHS regulations and use PPE at all times

Conduct basic risk assessments before starting work

Use mobile systems to log job completion, upload photos, and update reports

Communicate with supervisors and project coordinators

Requirements

Essential

Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or equivalent)

Experience in commercial carpentry or maintenance work

Valid driver’s licence

White Card (Australia construction induction)

Ability to work independently across multiple sites

Basic ability to use mobile job tracking systems

Preferred

Experience in commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects

Strong problem-solving and practical repair skills
