Purpose of the Role
✈️ BGIS is seeking a Facilities Coordinator (Soft Services) to join our team based at Brisbane Airport, supporting a fast-paced and highly active operational environment.
Reporting to the Regional Services Manager, you'll be the central point of coordination for maintenance requests, contractor activities, and facilities administration. Working closely with internal teams, service providers, and client stakeholders, you'll help ensure services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, communicates well with different people, stays organised under changing priorities, and enjoys being part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate maintenance requests and monitor work orders through the CMMS platform.
- Support the scheduling and completion of preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure works are completed safely and on time.
- Maintain records relating to purchase orders, invoices, contractor documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with contract reporting, maintenance planning, and operational administration.
- Monitor outstanding works and provide updates to stakeholders as required.
- Support workplace health, safety, and environmental processes across the site.
- Build positive working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and client representatives.
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Experience in facilities coordination, property services, building services, or a similar operational environment.
- Experience using CMMS platforms, with exposure to MRI highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with contractors and service providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Desirable:
- Experience within industrial, transport, logistics, or large operational sites.
- Exposure to contract administration or facilities management.
- Knowledge of building maintenance and asset management processes.
- First Aid Certificate or relevant facilities qualifications.
Workplace Flexibility
This position is based full-time on-site at Brisbane Airport, with free parking available. The role works standard business hours and provides the opportunity to work alongside an experienced and collaborative team.
As part of our pre-employment process, the successful applicant will be required to complete a National Police Check and Drug & Alcohol screening.
