As a Senior Digital Consultant – Unreal Engine , you will act as a senior technical specialist, bringing deep Unreal Engine 5 expertise to support the delivery of immersive and digital solutions for our clients. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing robust pipelines, optimising performance, integrating complex datasets, and guiding multidisciplinary teams through technical challenges.
This role blends hands-on technical execution with consulting capability. You will work across process, technology, data, and governance, helping shape project outcomes while driving innovation in real-time workflows and digital delivery.
You will demonstrate your capability by:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining Unreal Engine 5 systems using C++ and Blueprints, producing clean, efficient, well-documented code.
Developing and optimising real-time pipelines for asset import, ETL processes, plugin integration, and shipping configurations.
Creating custom Unreal Engine tools and plugins to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency.
Profiling and optimising performance across PC, VR, and mobile platforms, including rendering and memory management.
Building automation scripts and pipelines for asset processing and project deployment.
Integrating diverse datasets such as GIS, BIM, LiDAR, photogrammetry, CAD models, 3DGS into Unreal Engine environments.
Managing version control workflows using Git and Unreal Version Control (UVC).
Providing technical leadership, including recommendations on emerging technologies, innovation opportunities, and best-practice patterns.
Collaborating with designers, artists, and technical specialists to ensure assets and features meet performance and technical requirements.
Debugging and resolving complex technical issues, including threading, memory, and engine-level optimisations.
Supporting project management fundamentals and coordinating with offshore delivery teams.
Here's what you'll need
Expert-level proficiency in C++, Unreal Engine 5 architecture, and Blueprint scripting.
Ability to design and develop custom Unreal Engine plugins.
Strong understanding of rendering pipelines, shaders, and optimisation techniques.
Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, project management tools, and agile methodologies.
Familiarity with GIS/BIM workflows, photogrammetry, and LiDAR integration.
Awareness of technology roadmaps, industry trends, and emerging digital capabilities.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to integrate digital tools and automate data analysis and management tasks to produce bespoke solutions.
