POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team based out of Emerald. You will carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on a range of mobile plant and fixed equipment across our mining and civil project sites.

POSITION DUTIES

Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on mobile plant and fixed equipment

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on excavators, dozers, trucks, loaders, and ancillary equipment

Carry out component change-outs, rebuilds, and overhauls as required

Complete work orders, maintenance records, and parts requisitions accurately

Adhere to all safety procedures including isolation, tagging, and permit-to-work systems

Maintain a clean and organised work area and tooling

Communicate effectively with supervisors and operators regarding equipment condition and repairs

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting (or equivalent recognised qualification)

Minimum 2 years experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment in mining or civil

Current QLD Standard 11 (or equivalent) Generic Mining Induction

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

Experience with hydraulic systems, undercarriage, and powertrain components

Current manual driver's licence

MR or HR licence (desirable)

Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
