We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our Human Resources team, based at our Head Office in Belmont (moving to the CBD in July 2026). Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role is responsible for providing professional HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle while partnering with leaders to drive positive people outcomes and ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and procedures. To be considered for this position, you must possess the following as a minimum:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial relations, Law or a related field (highly desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships
- A practical and solutions-focused approach
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and influencing leaders on HR/ER/IR issues
- Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end case management, including investigations and disciplinary actions
- A strong understanding of employment legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated experience supporting organisational change initiatives
- Experience working in the civil and/or mining sectors will be highly regarded, but not essential
- Strong analytical skills with Excel capability
- A willingness and availability to travel to remote sites on an ad hoc basis
- Valid Western Australian C or C-A Class Driver’s License
As a HR Advisor, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Partnering with leaders to provide trusted HR advice and support across a broad range of people matters.
- Coaching and supporting leaders to strengthen capability and effectiveness in people management.
- Providing advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and dispute resolution.
- Developing reports, analysing workforce data, and providing meaningful insights to support decision-making.
- Preparing tenders and reviewing prequalification documentation, ensuring compliance with client ER/IR requirements, strategy, and best practice.
- Providing advice and managing project start-up and demobilisation processes.
- Supporting end-to-end employment lifecycle processes, including; probation, retention initiatives, remuneration reviews, employee transfers, visas and exit interviews.
- Providing advice on employment conditions and implementing related HR processes to promote compliance, governance, and accuracy.
- Facilitating consultation for major workplace changes, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
- Supporting HR projects and strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Assisting with enterprise agreement negotiations (where required).
- Undertaking site visits to support operational teams.
