Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Occupational Therapist on a permanent fulltime basis to join our growing healthcare team in Shepparton, Australia. Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning in relation to their daily activities and occupational goals

Develop and implement individualized, client-centered treatment plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team

Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions tailored to address clients' specific needs and goals

Analyze clients' occupational performance and provide recommendations for environmental modifications, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology

Complete complex discharge planning from acute hospital settings, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care

Maintain detailed, organized clinical documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies

Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, coordinated client care

Demonstrate strong problem-solving and clinical reasoning skills, considering broader implications and long-term outcomes for clients

Manage a busy and diverse caseload while balancing clinical and administrative responsibilities efficiently

Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with occupational therapy best practices and innovations

Provide compassionate, empathetic support to clients and families throughout the therapeutic process

Contribute to a culture of inclusivity, transparency, and continuous improvement within the organization
About You
To be successful in this role, you will meet the following selection criteria:

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.

Ability to effectively manage and balance a busy caseload and administrative responsibilities within a hospital setting.

Previous experience working within an acute hospital and / or inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Demonstrate problem solving and clinical reasoning skills, considering broader implications and longer-term impacts.

Complete comprehensive assessments and develop client centred, occupationally focussed treatment goals and intervention plans in collaboration with the patient, multidisciplinary team, and consulting physician.

Knowledge of and experience in completing complex discharge planning from the acute hospital setting
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from: $48.17 – $60.61 + + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (RHC VIC Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement)
