Our customers operate in some of the most challenging and high-stakes environments in the world, including military organisations, government agencies, airports, critical infrastructure operators, and law enforcement. With one of the largest listed defence company market capitalisations in Australia, now part of the ASX200 index, DroneShield is experiencing a period of hypergrowth. Revenue has surged from A$57 million in 2024 to over A$217 million in 2025, representing growth of more than 400% year-on-year, with record profitability and cashflow. The total addressable global market for counter-drone is assessed at approximately $100 billion, and is currently at the nascent stage with much of the growth still to come, with DroneShield well positioned as a global market leader, and the only public listed pure-play business in this sector.

The company has grown from 11 employees in 2017 to over 450 staff globally today, and is on track to reach around 550 by the end of 2026. This expansion includes investment of over A$50 million annually in R&D, a global pipeline exceeding A$2.5 billion, and continuous scaling of production capacity to meet accelerating demand.

The role is based at DroneShield’s central Sydney headquarters. Overseas on-the-ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Netherlands, Denmark, Mexico and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries worldwide.

About the role

DroneShield is seeking a versatile Graphic Designer to join the Marketing team in Sydney, New South Wales. Reporting to the Marketing Team Lead, this role offers a unique opportunity to create print and digital assets within the defence sector. The company has a strong foundation in design and collaborates with a variety of commercial and military companies around the world.

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations

Design, develop, and maintain print and digital collateral, including product brochures, expo booths, presentations, social media and web assets, and infographics

Responsible for maintaining and updating the DroneShield website
Experience editing video content is highly regarded
Assisting with scheduling of social media posts, press releases, and setting up email marketing communications
Must be able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of quality
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ownership across all creative outputs

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, be responsive, and communicate effectively to ensure timely delivery of materials
Manage and prioritise ad-hoc design requests from executive leadership, with flexibility and responsiveness

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

3+ years of experience in graphic design, ideally within a technology, defence or related industry
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related discipline
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro
Proven experience creating polished presentations in PowerPoint
Strong visual communication, conceptual thinking, typography, and layout skills

Excellent written communication skills and proficiency in proofreading marketing material and social media posts
High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
Experience using website content management systems and digital marketing tools, such as Hootsuite, HubSpot and Mailchimp
