The Position
We are currently seeking an experienced Concrete Labourer with a HR Licence and demo saw experience to work within our Concrete Maintenance & Rip-out crew. Base location of Bayswater North, with job sites in and around Melbourne, predominantly in the South-East suburbs. Initially this will be a casual position with full-time hours of Monday to Friday, and will lead to permanent full-time for the right person.
Rates are paid in line with, and exceeding the Building & Construction Award (Non-EBA).
What your day to day will look like:
- Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor on projects;
- Perform manual work in preparing surfaces
- Driving of crew truck (HR licence) to relocate excavator to multiple job sites throughout the day
- Safe loading and unloading of excavator from vehicle trailer
- Utilise demo saw in a safe and efficient manner to cut concrete in preparation for excavation
- Lay and finish of materials where required
- Shovel crushed materials in and out of jobsite as required efficiently
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and material to secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards and leaving in suitable and acceptable condition by Prestige and Client/Customer.

- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of Supervisor / Manager or SHEQ Team member.
- Ensuring correct and adequate signage is installed and maintained
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- Red or White construction card
- Heavy Rigid Drivers License
- 1+ year experience in demo saw operating
- Knowledge and understanding of OH&S to ensure safety is the top priority
- Positive, can-do attitude that works well within a team environmen
Other criteria that is highly regarded:
- Excavator ticket and experience is highly regarded
- Ability to take and follow instructions from Supervisors/Crew Leaders/Leading Hands to ensure delivery of jobs/projects to standard expected including quality and care
