Full Job Description

About the role

The Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving our marketing, design, and communication efforts. This multifaceted position blends creative graphic design, strategic marketing, content development, and UX/UI skills to support internal and external campaigns. You will manage multiple projects, uphold brand consistency, and engage effectively with both internal teams and external audiences.

Responsibilities will include

Internal Duties

Marketing Strategy & Campaigns

Support the development and execution of digital and print marketing strategies and campaigns.
Execute and monitor marketing initiatives across e-newsletters, blogs, social media, websites, and print publications.
Expand social media presence and generate leads through content-driven engagement.
Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance using tools such as ClickDimensions, Google Analytics, and social media insights.

Graphic Design & Brand Management

Design visually compelling marketing materials including brochures, flyers, presentations, and digital ads.
Maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms by adhering to brand guidelines.
Support UX/UI projects with wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and final interface designs.
Stay updated on design trends and integrate them into deliverables.

Content Creation & Copywriting

Write, edit, and proofread engaging content for blogs, newsletters, social media, press releases, and proposals.
Collaborate on award nominations, case studies, grant proposals, and official communications.
Ensure all messaging aligns with brand tone, style, and voice.

Social Media Management

Plan, create, schedule, and publish content across major social media channels.
Monitor social channels for trends, engagement, and customer interactions.
Maintain a content calendar and coordinate editorial schedules.

Web & Digital Presence

Maintain and update company websites (WordPress and Squarespace).
Optimise content for SEO and implement digital best practices.
Ensure a strong and consistent online presence through strategic planning.

Project Coordination & Collaboration

Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver marketing materials on time and on budget.
Support company events, training sessions, and team-building activities.
Document and photograph events; edit and organise images for marketing use.
Manage internal communications, content distribution, and asset storage.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field, and/or 3–5 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

Experience with WordPress and Squarespace CMS platforms.
Familiarity with digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta for Business, LinkedIn Analytics, ClickDimensions).
Strong SEO knowledge and understanding of digital marketing best practices.
Background in UX/UI design, including wireframing and prototyping.
Ability to create content for various formats (blogs, proposals, newsletters, social media).
