About the opportunity
The Allied Health Clinical Lead - Persistent Pain provides clinical leadership for the North Queensland Persistent Pain Management Service (NQPPMS) and North Queensland Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Service (NQPPES); and delivers advanced discipline specific services to stakeholders/consumers.
This includes:
Demonstrating advanced knowledge and clinical skills in multi-disciplinary persistent pain management services.
Providing clinical and professional leadership and advice on persistent pain management for a broad range of service stakeholders across North Queensland region and taking a lead role in skill development of less experienced staff.
Please note: This is a permanent part-time role, 38 hours per fortnight.
Role requirements
Occupational Therapist: The possession of a tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised tertiary institution and registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) is a requirement for this role.
Physiotherapist: The possession of a tertiary degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) is a requirement for this role.
Psychologist: Applicants must possess an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited four year qualification in Psychology, and be eligible for general registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). While not mandatory, a Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) area of practice endorsement in Clinical or Health Psychology would be highly regarded, as would PsyBA approved Supervisor status.
This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
Travel between NQPPMS Townsville offices located at Kirwan and Townsville University Hospital may be required.
The successful applicant may be required to travel to outreach clinics within Northern Queensland.

Salary range: $73.12 - $76.30 p.h. (HP5)
