From $60.09 per hour + Allowances

Monday - Friday

Due to an internal transfer, the position is available

About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate and competent care to Arcare Residents while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for the care team. You will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being and quality of life for residents in the facility.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff.
Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.

Skills & Experience

Current AHPRA Registration.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation.
Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
