About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Proposals Coordinator to join our high-performing pre‑contracts team, based in Sydney at Rydlemere (BMD Temporary office location), reporting to the Proposals Lead. In this role, you will be pivotal to the delivery of high-quality, fully compliant Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and tender submissions for major opportunities. You’ll bring structure, precision and strong writing capability to every submission—coordinating inputs, managing document production, and supporting best-practice proposal processes across BMD’s national proposals function.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Coordinate the end‑to‑end development of EOIs and tender submissions, supporting compliance, quality and on-time delivery
Build and manage bid programs, including schedules, deliverables, action registers and gated review milestones
Support the Proposals Lead by coordinating review workshops, managing feedback, and tracking actions to closure
Develop and refine submission content by synthesising technical input from engineers, estimators, project teams, partners and subject matter experts
Prepare and maintain key submission artefacts (e.g., compliance matrices, outlines, storyboards, templates and supporting schedules)
Manage document control, versioning and submission logistics using digital platforms such as SharePoint
Maintain and curate proposal libraries including CVs, project profiles and reusable content, contributing to national knowledge sharing
Collaborate with business development, marketing, legal, executive leadership and joint venture partners to deliver cohesive submissions
Mentor and support Proposals Coordinators as required, contributing to continuous improvement and quality uplift

About you

You are a proactive, detail‑driven proposals professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. You bring a balance of coordination expertise, stakeholder engagement and polished written communication.

You will ideally have:

A tertiary qualification in public relations, communications, marketing or a related discipline (highly desirable)
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar proposals or bids role, ideally within civil construction or a related industry
Demonstrated experience leading complex EOIs and tenders for large‑scale infrastructure projects
Advanced writing, editing and content strategy capability, with a strong eye for quality and compliance
Proven ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders
