The Opportunity
As our
Advertising Manager, working on a full time, permanent basis and based in our
Brisbane CBD head office with a
hybrid working pattern, you’ll be responsible for effectively managing our creative and paid media strategy across digital, above the line and below the line channels. You’ll drive full funnel results, from awareness through to new client acquisition, as well as being directly accountable for the performance of our appointed agencies and maximising business return.
Reporting to the General Manager, Brand & Marketing Acquisition, you’ll lead the strategic direction of all paid media investment and creative, and accountable for execution of program. You’ll drive innovative media approaches across channels, formats and funnel stages, testing strategies for effectiveness and value, and assessing emerging technologies for potential impact and integration.
You’ll develop strong, effective relationships with our external media partners, taking ownership of agency execution, driving performance and delivery standards, and providing clear guidance and prioritisation of work, providing ongoing feedback. You’ll also champion collaboration with key internal leads (customer experience, PR, digital experience, insights and data analytics) to ensure advertising aligns to business goals and is supported across our full client journey.
You’ll lead proactive analysis of advertising trends, campaign results and audience behaviours to surface actionable insights to inform strategy, ensuring rigorous optimisation across brand and performance media, continually evaluation performance of lead sources, creative execution and channel contribution. You’ll develop reports on advertising performance for business stakeholders including ROAS, lead volume and quality, CPA and conversion rates.
This is a specialist role that offers a perfect mix of strategy and execution, within a high performing team.
What you’ll bring. In order to succeed in this role, you’ll possess:
- Significant demonstrated experience developing brand and acquisition strategies across media and creative in a media agency environment or in house for a brand working with agencies.
- Demonstrated experience managing a large media budget to drive commercial acquisition outcomes.
- Ability to drive strategic thinking and translate this to actionable and iterative delivery that maximises return on advertising expenditure and achieves business growth.
- Leadership experience, to drive performance and outcomes of third-party suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills, utilising financial and consumer insight data to inform the design and planning process of campaigns.
- Demonstrated digital media experience, building campaigns in Google Ads, SA360, Facebook Ads Manager, and similar; and using Google Analytics (GA4).
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills at a senior level.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage and coordinate competing priorities and deadlines for yourself and agency teams.
- Experience working on service based brands that are consumer focused is preferred.
