Introduction:
Levett Engineering are a high-performance precision machining business delivering complex components and assemblies into aerospace and defence programs.
We are looking for a Project Manager who takes full ownership of customer orders—from contract review through to final delivery.
This role sits at the centre of the business, working directly with customers and internally with our Production Planner / Scheduler to ensure commitments are realistic, executable, and met.
Description:
About the Role:
Acting as the primary customer interface for assigned programs and orders
Conducting contract review (technical, commercial, and delivery requirements)
Converting customer demand into clear, executable internal schedules
Provide leadership for project support functions with Production. Monitor Quality and Engineering activities to ensure they are completed on-time.
Raising and managing job cards / work orders within the ERP system
Building and maintaining project schedules aligned to factory capacity
Coordinate scheduling in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Production Planning / scheduling.
Follow up with Production and maintain production status to schedule
Ensure variations where viable are included and re-costed
Ensure all LOB and shortages are communicated across the business
Working daily with the Production Planner to balance demand vs capacity
Tracking progress, identifying risks early, and driving corrective actions
Provide assistance in reporting of sale targets and order book status
Providing clear, proactive updates to customers on status and delivery
Skills and Experiences:
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience in project management within manufacturing or precision machining
Strong understanding of build-to-print environments and production flow
Experience with contract review and customer-facing delivery management
Ability to align customer expectations with real factory constraints
High attention to detail with strong commercial awareness
Understand the project milestone schedule
Experience in risks and opportunities (R&O) within project environment
Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Aerospace, defence, or AS9100 environment highly regarded
