Program Manager (Science, Strategy and Operations) – Wilson Centre for Blood Cancer Genomics
- 12-month fixed term, full time position
- 80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADOs
- $150,000.00 - $158,102.22 base + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave
About the role
This position is a Program Manager (Science, Strategy and Operations)for the Wilson Centre for Blood Cancer Genomics. Reporting to Associate Professor Piers Blombyer, this 12-month fixed term role will work 80 hours per fortnight. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the continued growth and expansion of the Wilson Centre, a translational diagnostics and research laboratory at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
The primary responsibilities of the role will be:
- To contribute to and coordinate the scientific outputs and development of the Wilson Centre
- To develop and implement new technologies for genomic testing for patients with blood cancer in collaboration with partners
- To contribute to strategic plan development and direction of the Wilson Centre in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- To manage reporting requirements to internal and external funders
- To oversee corporate functions including budget management
- To identify and coordinate applications for new funding opportunities for the centre
About you
The successful candidate will have experience in the genomics of blood cancer, team leadership, project delivery as well as a relevant domain knowledge.
