We’re looking for a Resourcing & Operations Coordinator to join our Brisbane Audit team. This role sits at the centre of our division, partnering closely with Partners and Managers to drive effective workforce planning, optimise utilisation, and ensure the right people are on the right engagements at the right time.
With a strong focus on resourcing, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end workforce coordination across the audit lifecycle, while also supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the team.
About the service line/team
Our Audit team in Brisbane is a collaborative and high-performing group, working across a broad client base. You’ll work closely with Partners, Managers, Finance, and People & Culture, playing a key role in how we plan, allocate and deliver client work across the division.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end resource management process, including planning cycles (EOFY/half-year) and ongoing engagement allocations
- Allocate staff to engagements based on capability, development goals and client requirements
- Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, balancing utilisation, budgets and team capacity
- Provide insights and reporting on utilisation, capacity, WIP and budget vs actuals to support decision-making
- Support workforce planning and forecasting, anticipating future resourcing needs
- Partner with stakeholders (Partners, Managers, Finance, P&C) on resourcing strategy and performance
- Review and challenge post-budget resourcing requests, ensuring appropriate approvals and scope alignment
- Contribute to continuous improvement of resourcing processes, systems and efficiency
- Support operational activities such as timesheets, training tracking, appraisals and team coordination
About you
- Experience in a resourcing, workforce planning or coordination role (professional services highly regarded)
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and balance competing priorities
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
- Analytical mindset, comfortable interpreting data and providing actionable insights
- Proactive problem-solver who can identify issues and work through solutions independently
- Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging across all levels of the business
- Experience with practice management or resourcing systems (e.g. Workday, Dynamics, Retain) is advantageous
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
