Siemens Energy has a fantastic opportunity for a Portfolio Sales Professional to join our Gas Services team based at our North Ryde office. Reporting to the Portfolio Sales Manager, this role will manage the sales function of Control and Digitalisation Solutions for the power generation market. As the successful applicant, you will be involved in selling, solutions and services for Control and Digitalisation systems to customers in the power generation market.
How You’ll Make an Impact
This is a highly technical role. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assess technical market trends and customer needs, particularly in Digitalisation, Decarbonisation, and related sectors.

Develop and maintain a customer-focused network.

Identify and evaluate business opportunities for products, solutions, and services.

Design conceptual solutions for prospective projects.

Prepare and negotiate proposals, including designs, materials, labour estimates, and pricing.

Maintain up-to-date market pricing knowledge and strong analytical skills.

Complete essential sales planning and reporting tasks.

Prioritize growth in the Australian, and support Korean, and Japanese markets.

Monitor and analyse competitor installed base to identify market gaps and inform strategic decisions.
What You Bring

The ideal candidate will possess significant technical engineering expertise in the power generation and/or oil & gas sectors.
- Demonstrated proficiency with controls and mechatronic systems is required.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant products, solutions, and services is expected.
- A strong sales background in this technically demanding field is essential.
- Exceptional communication skills and the capability to foster effective professional relationships are vital.
- Additionally, candidates must be prepared to undertake frequent travel within Australia, as well as occasional trips to Korea and Japan.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
