Hewitt is growing….and so is our finance function. We’re seeking a Finance Manager to lead reporting, consolidations and compliance while supporting the integration of a newly acquired business into Hewitt.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Finance Manager (Site Lead) to take full ownership of finance at our Gympie site, leading reporting, consolidations and compliance while supporting a business integration. This is not a standard role, you’ll operate as a standalone, on-site leader, delivering accurate reporting, strong governance and meaningful insights that support Executive and Board decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the month-end close process, including entity and consolidated three-way financial statements and reporting packs
- Coordinate reconciliations across payroll, provisions, cash, loans and working capital, ensuring strong balance sheet integrity
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, GST, ITR, OSR and evolving accounting standards, maintaining governance and audit readiness
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, delivering clear insights to support site and group-level business decisions
- Lead treasury activities, banking compliance, audit processes and integration initiatives, maintaining a strong reporting link into central finance
About You
You’re a technically strong Finance professional with experience in reporting, consolidations and compliance within a complex, multi-entity environment. Comfortable operating in a standalone, site-based role, you take full ownership of day-to-day finance while staying aligned with a broader group finance function.
With a background in manufacturing or operational settings, you bring strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities. Confident partnering across site and central teams, you communicate insights clearly and contribute to strong governance and best-practice financial operations.
You will bring:

Proven experience delivering end-to-end finance ownership, ideally in a site lead or Financial Controller-style role
- Strong technical capability across month-end, consolidations, audit and statutory reporting
- Demonstrated ability to provide commercial insight and operational finance support in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working within a centralised finance structure while leading locally on site
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards)
