The Wheatbelt Education Regional Office provides support and advice to 69 schools across the region.
We are a small team who work collaboratively in service of our schools, communities and families. Education regional offices provide information on local public school options, special programs and services such as school psychology, behaviour centres, home education and reporting students not attending school.
The Role
In this role, you will support the Director of Education and team within the Northam office with a range of administrative functions, including calendar and email management for the Director, maintaining spreadsheets and databases, managing agendas and minutes for meetings, and maintaining effective filing systems for corporate information. You will play a vital role in supporting communication and documentation processes, handling correspondence, drafting responses, and preparing reports for routine matters. Your ability to manage incoming calls, visitor enquiries, and appointments will contribute to a well-coordinated office environment.
Additionally, you will assist with travel arrangements and event management, ensuring bookings and documentation are accurately prepared, and support financial tasks such as payment of accounts, credit card reconciliation, and expenditure monitoring as needed.
