Power Tech Energy is a fast-growing Australian renewable energy company specialising in commercial solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), energy management technologies, automation, and sustainability solutions.
We deliver projects across South Australia and interstate, working with commercial businesses, tourism parks, industrial facilities, mining operations, and government organisations.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and highly capable Projects, Procurement & Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our operations.
This is not an entry-level administration role.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership, work independently, solve problems proactively, and help drive operational excellence across the business.
The Role
This position is responsible for coordinating procurement, logistics, project administration, supplier relationships, inventory management, and customer documentation.
You will work closely with the CEO, project managers, engineers, electricians, suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
The successful candidate will become a key operational member of the business and will play a significant role in improving systems, processes, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source materials and equipment for solar and battery projects
- Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers
- Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Ensure the business achieves best-value purchasing outcomes
- Monitor supplier performance and lead times
- Manage purchase orders and procurement workflows
Project & Operations Coordination
- Coordinate logistics for project installations
- Schedule deliveries and equipment dispatches
- Liaise with installation teams regarding project requirements
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers where required
- Assist project managers with project administration
- Track project costs and procurement budgets
- Support project execution from award through to completion
Administration & Commercial Support
- Prepare customer quotations and proposals
- Assist with preparation of contracts and project documentation
- Generate invoices and customer billing
- Support contract administration and document control
- Maintain accurate records and reporting systems
- Assist with business process improvements and workflow optimisation
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Maintain inventory records and stock levels
- Monitor incoming and outgoing equipment
- Forecast stock requirements
- Coordinate warehouse and equipment movements
- Minimise stock shortages and procurement delays
Systems & Reporting
- Manage data and reporting using Xero, Excel and Simpro
- Prepare procurement and project reports
- Improve operational workflows and administrative systems
- Ensure information is accurate, current and easily accessible
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in procurement, project administration, operations coordination or a similar role
- Strong procurement and supplier management experience
- Experience preparing quotations, invoices and customer documentation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong experience using Xero
- Experience with Simpro or similar project/job management software
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Highly Desirable
- Experience within the electrical, construction, renewable energy, engineering or trade industries
- Experience coordinating field service teams
- Inventory and warehouse management experience
- Understanding of project costing and job profitability
- Experience implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies
