About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to lead our branch operations, drive sales growth, and build strong customer relationships. This hands-on leadership role combines operational management with strategic business development, ensuring the branch achieves its revenue targets while delivering exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing branch performance, identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and leading a high-performing team that supports the company’s continued growth and success.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
· Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed branch revenue targets.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share and customer base.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
· Conduct regular client visits and business development activities.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
· Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to business planning initiatives.
Branch Operations & Leadership
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Lead, motivate, and support branch staff to achieve individual and team objectives.
· Maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
· Ensure inventory, administration, and reporting functions are managed accurately and efficiently.
· Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Performance Management
· Monitor branch budgets and financial performance.
· Analyse sales reports, operational data, and key performance metrics.
· Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase profitability.
· Provide regular performance reports and updates to senior management.
· Ensure effective cost control and resource management.
Customer Relationship Management
· Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction remains a priority.
· Manage escalated customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
· Develop and implement customer retention and loyalty initiatives.
· Build long-term partnerships with key customers and stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Achievement of branch sales and revenue targets.
· Branch profitability and financial performance.
· New customer acquisition and business growth.
· Customer retention and satisfaction levels.

Experience & QualificationsEssential
· Previous experience in a Business Development Manager, or similar leadership role.
· Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and business growth.
· Strong customer relationship management experience.
· Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
Desirable
· Industry experience is highly regarded but not essential.
· Australian Manual Driver’s Licence.
· Experience managing budgets and branch profitability.
