About the Role
We’re inviting expressions of interest for a Business Partner (P&C) opportunity within our People & Culture Employee Experience team, based in South Australia.
This role partners closely with leaders across a diverse portfolio of businesses, providing practical and strategic people solutions that support business objectives and enhance the employee experience. You will play a trusted advisory role, supporting leaders across the full employee lifecycle while fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
Business Coverage
This role provides P&C support to the following businesses:
- CMV Truck Centre
- Barry Maney Group
- CMI Hino Adelaide & Lonsdale
- TRP Adelaide & Warrnambool
- Wimmera Truck Centre
- Watts Transport Spares
- CMV Farms
Regular site visits will form part of the role to support relationships and understand business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
- Build strong relationships with General Managers and Department Managers to provide effective P&C advice and support.
- Partner with leaders to understand operational objectives and develop aligned people strategies.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and organisational change programs.
- Analyse HR metrics and exit feedback to identify trends and opportunities.
- Coach and mentor leaders on people management and leadership practices.
Employee Relations
- Act as a point of contact for employee relations matters.
- Support performance management processes and conduct investigations when required.
- Communicate legislative and policy changes to ensure compliance.
- Assist with reviewing and recommending updates to HR policies.
Recruitment
- Guide and support managers through end-to-end recruitment activities.
- Facilitate recruitment tools including profiling, assessments, and police checks.
- Assist with candidate screening and interviews as required.
Workers Compensation & Safety
- Act as Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator in partnership with managers.
- Liaise with insurers, rehabilitation providers, and medical practitioners.
- Promote WHS policies and report incidents and near misses in line with requirements.
About You
You will ideally bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Experience in an HR advisory or business partnering role.
- Experience supporting leaders in a multi-site, service-based environment (preferred).
- Strong communication, mediation, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, energetic approach with strong attention to detail.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
