Principal Presales Solution Architect – Digital Workplace Solutions
We are seeking an experienced Principal Presales Solution Architect to operate as a dedicated Client Architect for a named public sector client in Australia. This high-impact, externally facing role will provide solution leadership across the client’s Digital Workplace Environment, supporting contractual service commitments, delivery continuity, continuous improvement and future growth. You will work closely with Account Teams, CTOs, and senior client stakeholders to deliver innovative, outcome-driven DWS solutions.
Responsibilities:
Act as the dedicated Client Architect for a named client account, providing visible, client-facing DWS solution leadership and architectural continuity
Work closely with the Account Team to understand contractual obligations, delivery performance, account roadmap, security expectations, priorities and growth opportunities.
Translate client business, operational and technical requirements into secure, scalable and commercially viable Digital Workplace Services solutions
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance service quality, user experience, operational efficiency and account value
Develop and support solution design, costings, pricing inputs, ROI models, proposals, Statements of Work and other client-facing materials.
Facilitate discovery sessions, solution workshops, assumptions reviews and technical discussions with client and internal stakeholders
Identify, communicate and mitigate solution, delivery, commercial and security risks throughout the opportunity and delivery lifecycle.
Ensure proposed solutions are aligned to Unisys DWS capabilities, client outcomes, contractual commitments and delivery readiness.
Experience and Technical Expertise
8–10+ years of relevant experience in solution architecture, presales, managed services, client-facing roles within a DWS environment
Strong experience designing Digital Workplace/ End User Services solutions for complex client environments including S ervice Desk, Field Services, Modern Device Management (SOE build, application packaging) and Unified Com munications (Microsoft 365, directory and certificate services) solutions.
Experience developing solution assumptions, operating models, service scope, transition considerations, delivery dependencies, cost inputs and risk profiles
Ability to work across technical, commercial, delivery and security stakeholders to shape DWS solutions that are compelling, competitive and aligned to client strategy.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
NV1 Security Clearance is preferred. Baseline security clearance is must to have.
A confident external client-facing presence, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders and represent Unisys professionally in strategic account discussions
A strong presales and client architecture mindset, with the ability to convert account needs and improvement opportunities into actionable DWS solutions
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance client outcomes, service quality, risk, security, cost, margin and delivery feasibility
Excellent written, verbal, facilitation and presentation skills, including the ability to create clear proposals, solution narratives, SOW content and executive-level recommendations
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with account, delivery, technology, security, commercial and partner team.
