Not your typical boxing coach role: Cheltenham

Not all boxing gyms are the same.

And not all coaches are the same either. They might look the same on paper, but you and I both know there's a difference between a trainer and a coach.

You get trainers that just count down the rounds. Call out combinations. Stand there looking the part. They don't know if a member is developing because they're not really paying attention, they're just getting their session done.

But that's not you. You're different. And it's the same with us.

We're not a typical boxing gym. We're not a pad-holding fitness class pretending to be real boxing. We're building something that genuinely changes people through real boxing coaching. From beginners who've never thrown a punch, to fighters stepping into the ring to compete. Real skill development at every level. A structured pathway. Coaches who coach, no matter what level a member is at.

We're looking to add the right person to our coaching team. Someone who's going to be remembered. Someone who's going to set the standard, not just meet it.

Here's who we're NOT looking for:

You're not someone who shows up to run the clock and collect the hours. You want to be the reason a member gets better. The reason they don't quit when it gets hard. The reason a member focuses on the right things, not just the easy stuff.

You're not someone who thinks passion means posting about boxing. You live it. It probably pulled you out of something at some point in your life. You know what boxing does for people beyond the gym.

You're not someone who's too proud to be coached. Our standards are the floor, not the ceiling. If you think you've learned everything there is to know, this isn't the place for you. We stay humble. Always. We continue to level up.

You're not average, you don’t want to achieve average result in your life. Constant improvement is non-negotiable here. Not because we demand it. Because you demand it of yourself.

You're not someone who needs someone to walk you through showing up. You're early. You're prepared. You know every member's name before the session starts, and you're still thinking about that session after it's done and make improvements for next time.

You're not short-term. We're building something that other gyms will look at one day and use as a blueprint. That kind of mission needs people who are here to make a real mark, not just fill a roster.

What you'll be part of:

A gym on a genuine mission, to set a new standard in boxing coaching and make real boxing accessible to every level. Foundation members, development members to Fighters. You'll coach them all, and you'll care about all of them equally.

Real leadership. Real feedback. We'll invest in you the way we expect you to invest in our members.

Exposure to how a world-class boxing program actually runs, the systems, the culture, the community, all of it.

A team that backs each other. One team, one goal. No lone wolves.

And the chance to be someone meaningful to a lot of people, not just a name on a timetable.

What we need from you:

Cert III or IV in Fitness as a minimum. Boxing coaching experience or background is a big plus. Availability across our Cheltenham and Moorabbin locations. Your own transport. And above all… character.

We hire character. Everything else can be developed.
