About this role
We are seeking an experienced BMS Controls Technician to join our team. The role will be primarily service and maintenance as well as fault finding and commissioning of BMS & Access Control systems. The following roles and responsibilities are required:

Servicing and maintenance of client sites

Attending service calls
-
After hours support on a roster basis
-
Client liaison and relationship building
-
Integration of multivendor Building Automation Systems (BAS)

Commissioning of BMS and Access Control systems
-
Exposure to responsibilities from site management and planning, to service and commissioning
-
Quoting and small works management
-
Installation, programming and commissioning of BMS and Access Control systems.
The successful candidate will require the following skill base and attributes:
-
Possess Refrigeration, Electrical or restricted electrical licences
-
Min 3+ years in the HVAC/BMS industry
-
A solid understanding and experience in maintenance, software fault finding, system hardware and applications programming of BMS/HVAC control systems.

Experience with Tridium/Niagara AX and N4. TAC, Schneider – Inet experience would be favourable but not essential.

Good communication in verbal, written and computer skills.

High level of understanding of Networking including Ethernet LAN, Modbus, BACnet etc.

A sound understanding of WH&S codes and requirements

Ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment

The ability to listen, learn and teach

To follow instructions while contributing to management direction

Good time management skills

Experience with access control systems is beneficial but not essential

Valid NSW Driver’s Licence
-
Australian citizen or hold a current Australian Work Visa
-
Available to undertake weekend work when required
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out service activities in the form of either regular maintenance or breakdown services of BMS systems at various client sites. In this capacity, you will be required to perform diagnoses, fault repairs, basic programming, and commissioning of controls systems, ensuring client satisfaction and minimisation of system downtime.
You should have either an Electrical or HVAC trade background, possess a good customer service mindset and a passion for technical trouble shooting and fault-finding work. We are seeking a team player with a good energy level and a genuine desire and willingness to learn and acquire technical knowledge.
