In Australia alone, we have a presence on over 45 mining operations and, due to continued growth and being awarded a new project, we currently have vacancies for OTR Tyre Fitter Site Supervisor at McArthur River Mine, Darwin.
The McArthur River project is an exciting new opportunity for experienced Tyre Fitter Site Supervisor to step into a high performing operation. This project offers consistent work and a strong team environment. It’s a great opportunity for those who want to further develop their skills on-site.
THE POSITION
The Site Supervisor role will provide a high level of continuous service on site by supporting the operations of the workshop, office, stock and personnel, and will also ensure the contracted scope of work is performed and maintained to a high standard. Duties include:

Prioritising and directing personnel to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in the most efficient, safe and cost-effective manner
Maintaining a safe and efficient workforce by providing constructive and positive feedback as well as provide initiatives for increased safety and performance
Demonstrating a high level of supervision to ensure all safety systems are present
Leading by example to ensure all personnel comply with site and company policies, procedures, instructions and Golden Rules
Actively promoting a safety culture across site operations that targets zero harm to personnel and the environment

ABOUT YOU

Preferably two years of supervisor experience in the earthmover industry
A Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy or equivalent Tyre Fitting Competency; AUR21916/AUR21920 preferred
A valid C Class driving licence; HR/LR advantageous
A current Work Safe/ High Risk Forklift Ticket advantageous
Site Safety Supervisors S1,2,3 (G1,8,9) qualification/ training
Computer literacy particularly with Microsoft Office Applications
Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
An understanding that safety is paramount, with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures
Possess a high level of maturity, initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
Candidates residing in Darwin are highly regarded.

2:2 Roster (12-hour shifts)
