We are seeking highly capable program manager to join our Smiling Starts Program team rolling out this ground-breaking health initiative across WA.
This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for up to 18 months, including the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
About Smiling Starts
The Smiling Starts Early Childhood Dental Program is an initiative of the Government of Western Australia (WA). Smiling Starts is the newest program delivered by Dental Health Services (DHS) and completes the suite of programs designed to improve the health of all West Australians across their lifetimes.
Smiling Starts will provide free, universal access to child-friendly oral health care that improves the oral health experience and overall wellbeing of West Australia’s youngest children, their families and Carers.
In partnership with dedicated health professionals, caring communities’ and statewide health service providers/ key stakeholders, Smiling Starts delivers oral health education, screening for oral disease and minimally invasive oral care in a fun, interactive and age-appropriate format, delivered in safe, welcoming spaces helping parents and carers feel confident about caring for their child’s smile- because a healthy smile is a superpower everyone deserves.

About the role?
The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Smiling Starts Program by providing strategic and innovative leadership to the program’s development and delivery. The Program Manager, as part of the Smiling Starts leadership team, prioritises and manages resource allocation for the management, facilitation, coordination, and implementation of the Smiling Starts.
The Program Manager also ensures Smiling Starts stays true to its purpose to deliver care in the way that best supports children, families, and communities by monitoring and guiding how the program is delivered across all zones.
Working across program development and delivery sites, in this role you will partner with stakeholders, influences decision-making, and transforms ideas into outcomes that enhance community experiences. This role is suited to someone who thrives on complexity, brings people together, and is motivated by delivering real and lasting change.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
