About the role

We are seeking an experienced Wills & Estates lawyer to join our practice at Special Counsel or Partner level, with flexibility depending on the skills and profile of the successful candidate. This role will focus on estate and succession planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.

The practice advises on complex wills, testamentary and succession structures, estate administration and estate disputes, including family provision claims and the construction and interpretation of sophisticated estate planning documents. The role also encompasses elder law matters such as enduring powers of attorney, appointments of enduring guardians and aged care arrangements.

The position will oversee and lead our firm’s wills and estates practice during a period of parental leave, ensuring continuity of service, client relationships and matter management, and offers a high degree of autonomy within a well-established and successful practice. We are keen to hear both from candidates who are looking for contract work, and those who are interested in joining Moray & Agnew on an ongoing basis.

About you

Our ideal candidate is a senior Wills & Estates practitioner operating at, or ready for, Special Counsel or Partner level, with strong technical expertise across estate planning, estate administration and estate disputes. Key attributes include:
