The opportunity

The Mechanical Project Engineer delivers projects across capital water infrastructure including valves, hydrants, water pump stations, network renewals, water main replacements and more across the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast region. In addition to managing the mechanical components the program’s water and wastewater projects, you will be collaborating with design, scheduling, cost and commissioning and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions and project success.

Join us in this fast-paced, stable, and highly rewarding program, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the industry while benefiting from a robust pipeline of long-term, local opportunities.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity opportunity and you will be office based in Mango Hill and site based at Brendale.

What you’ll do

Attend planning visits and concept reviews to advise on constructability and delivery across time, cost, safety and quality outcomes
Support Scheduling, Cost Controls, Community Engagement, Procurement, Estimating, Quality Assurance and Safety teams in developing delivery plans
Provide technical advice and expertise throughout project delivery phase, promptly addressing any issues and problem-solve to maintain time, cost, quality and safety targets
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, subcontractors and colleagues

What we’re looking for

Project delivery experience within the water & or Wastewater industry (preferred)
Tertiary qualification - Mechanical Engineering
Experience in driving quality outcomes in project delivery
Degree qualification in civil or mechanical engineering
Good communication skills
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to build strong relationships with people
Sound computer skills
