About the role
With continued growth in our practice, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join our expanding team. This is a varied and dynamic role that will see you working across property damage, marine, recoveries and personal injury matters.
You will have day-to-day conduct of files, including providing initial advice, preparing pleadings, engaging with liability and quantum experts, managing negotiations, attending mediations and conferences and contributing to strategic decision-making on both litigated and pre-litigated matters.
The role offers exposure to technically complex claims, including those involving specialised industries and high value recovery actions. You will be supported by a collaborative, high performing team that values strong legal analysis, commercial thinking and practical problem solving. This position is well suited to someone seeking to deepen their expertise and take the next step in a busy and growing practice.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced litigator with strong technical skills and a background in property damage, marine, recoveries and/or personal injury matters. You will have experience managing your own files and be confident providing clear and concise advice to clients.
You will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to articulate complex issues in plain English.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
- Good judgment and initiative.
- A genuine enthusiasm for developing expertise in complex insurance disputes and contributing to the growth of the practice.
- A strong client-service focus, with the ability to build trusted, professional relationships.
An interest in mentoring junior colleagues.
