THE OPPPORTUNITY
This is one of the most influential commercial leadership roles in Australian sport.
The Head of Partnerships is responsible for leading and evolving the entire Supercars Partnerships program — spanning the Championship, Promoted Rounds, Bathurst 12 Hour and emerging platforms including esports.
Reporting into the Head of Commercial and working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, CEO and the Commercial Sales Team, this role owns the strategy, performance and growth of all partnerships, with a clear mandate to drive revenue, deepen partner value and elevate the commercial offering across the business.
You will lead a high-performing team, oversee the full partner portfolio, and be at the forefront of shaping how brands engage with one of the most powerful sporting platforms in Australia — ensuring strong alignment between partnership servicing, sales strategy and long-term commercial growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Growth

Define and lead the partnerships strategy across the Supercars ecosystem, aligned to overall commercial objectives
- Own performance outcomes across the portfolio, driving renewals, upsell and long-term value growth
- Identify and unlock new commercial opportunities across content, digital, broadcast and event experiences
- Work closely with the Head of Commercial, CRO and CEO on key partnership strategy and priority relationships
Partnership Leadership & Revenue Ownership

Lead all renewals and expansion strategies across existing partners, with strong focus on yield and retention
- Oversee key partner relationships, acting as senior lead on priority accounts and agency partnerships
- Develop and deliver best-in-class commercial proposals and integrated solutions for both existing and prospective partners
- Drive a high-performance culture across the Partnerships team, focused on accountability, innovation and commercial outcomes
Program & Portfolio Management

Oversee delivery of all partnership programs across the Championship, Promoted Events and Bathurst 12 Hour
- Lead the partnerships program for Bathurst 12 Hour and esports, ensuring alignment and growth
- Ensure seamless execution of all contractual deliverables, consistently exceeding partner expectations
Commercial Inventory & Innovation

Own oversight of all commercial inventory, including:
- Signage and trackside assets
- Broadcast integrations
- Digital and content opportunities
- At event activation/integration
- Experiences
- Work closely with Broadcast, Digital and Marketing teams to unlock new inventory and drive innovation in how partners activate
- Lead the ongoing evolution of the commercial model to maximise yield and partner impact
Insights & Value Optimisation

Lead the Supercars Research & Insights program, managing agency partners and internal capability
- Embed data-led decision making across the partnerships function to clearly articulate ROI and partner value aligning to a broader strategy and objectives framework for partners
- Ensure insights are leveraged to strengthen partner retention, pricing strategy and proposition design
Partner Engagement & Experience

Design and lead a year-round partner engagement strategy to deepen relationships, enhance value perception and drive long-term retention
- Develop and deliver premium engagement initiatives including Partner Workshops, leadership forums, networking events and digital touchpoints
- Create meaningful opportunities for partners to connect with each other, Supercars leadership and the broader ecosystem, strengthening the overall partner community
- Leverage engagement platforms to showcase innovation, share insights and align partners to the Supercars strategic vision
Operations & Financial Governance

Oversee the partnerships cost base and budget management in partnership with Commercial Operations
- Ensure best-in-class operational processes, including contract governance, deliverables management and reporting
- Maintain strong internal alignment across all delivery functions to ensure consistency and quality
Team Leadership

Lead, mentor and develop the Partnerships team, building a high-performance, commercially focused culture
- Drive employee engagement, capability uplift and succession planning
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Deliver strong renewal rates and incremental revenue growth across the partnerships portfolio
- Ensure all partner commitments are delivered to a consistently high and measurable standard
- Maintain clear ownership of partner KPIs, reporting and performance outcomes
- Drive innovation across partnership offerings, ensuring continued relevance and competitiveness in market
- Provide leadership across the commercial function, contributing to broader strategic initiatives and growth programs
EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES
Senior leadership experience in partnerships, sponsorship or commercial account management within sport, media or entertainment

Proven track record in driving renewals, upsell and revenue growth across a complex partnership portfolio
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, negotiation and deal structuring
- Experience managing integrated campaigns across events, content, digital and broadcast
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior brand and agency partners
- High level of energy, ownership and ambition, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-profile environment
- Experience in event-based businesses and live event delivery is highly advantageous
