Role: Accountant

Aftershock PC Pty Ltd is a fast-growing technology and gaming PC company based in Melbourne. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

This role is ideal for a professional experienced in financial reporting, accounts management, payroll support, reconciliations, budgeting, and business financial analysis within a fast-paced commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements
Monitor company cash flow and banking activities
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Assist with payroll processing and superannuation obligations
Coordinate taxation documentation and compliance requirements with external accountants
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Maintain accurate accounting records and internal control systems
Analyse financial information and provide reporting support to management
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company procedures

Requirements

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2 years relevant accounting experience
Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements
Experience using Cin7 inventory management system, ClickUp, and similar business systems.
Strong knowledge of Xero accounting software.
Experience working within retail, ecommerce, or technology-based businesses is highly regarded.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
