Career Medical Officer | ICU Career Medical Officer Casual Opportunities
We are seeking skilled Career Medical Officers and ICU Career Medical Officers who have a strong interest in acute surgical and medical care, as well as ICU. These roles offer outstanding exposure to a broad range of clinical specialities, supported by an exceptional nursing and allied health team.
We offer a flexible roster of varied shifts — day, evening, and night — across weekdays and weekends, providing an excellent work-life balance and diverse clinical experience.
Successful candidates may choose to be employed by the hospital or engage as contractors.
Career Medical Officer (CMO):

AHPRA Registration
-
PGY3+
-
Previous experience in a similar role or as a Registrar in a similar role
-
Demonstrated high level of clinical competence
-
Highly developed verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
-
Computer literacy in Microsoft Suite
-
Neonate experience with neopuff
-
Neonate cannulation
-
Ward shifts are day evening and night
ICU Career Medical Officer:
-
Applicants must be at least 4 years postgraduate with experience in critical care (ICU, Anaesthetics or ED).

Proven clinical competence and confidence in acute ICU (ultrasound guided peripheral cannulation, arterial line insertion, central venous cannulation, endotracheal intubation)

Be available for flexible shift work, day and night

Demonstrated high level of clinical competence

Computer literacy in Microsoft Suite
Desirable

Experience in cardiothoracic and neurosurgical intensive care and complex UGI and bariatric surgery

Current ALS 1 / CALS certification

Current ALS2 (ARC accredited course)

Completion of Basic Assessment in Intensive Care (BASIC) Course
