Our vibrant dining space offers authentic Sri Lankan dishes rich in tradition and spices. Whether you're looking for a relaxed coffee break, a hearty breakfast, or an unforgettable dinner experience, Cinnamon Edge promises quality, authenticity, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and cook authentic Sri Lankan dishes for catering events, including rice and curry packs, biryani, kottu, hoppers, short eats, seafood, and vegetarian/non-vegetarian menus according to client requirements

· Plan and organise bulk food preparation for catering orders, ensuring correct quantities, portion control, and timely delivery for events such as weddings, parties, and corporate functions

· Prepare ingredients in advance for large-scale cooking, including cutting vegetables, marinating meats, grinding spices, and preparing traditional Sri Lankan sauces and curry bases

· Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety throughout preparation, cooking, packaging, and transportation of catering meals

· Assist in menu planning for catering orders, ensure efficient use of stock, minimise food wastage, and support smooth kitchen operations during high-volume service periods

Essential Skills & Key Competencies :·

Strong ability to prepare and cook authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in bulk for Catering events, knowledge of traditional Sri Lankan recipes, spices, flavors, and cooking techniques
Experience in large-scale food preparation for weddings, functions, and commercial catering
Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Qualification and Experience Required:

· Minimum 1 year experience as a Cook in a fast-paced restaurant or similar environment

· Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification

· Knowledge and experience in authentic Sri Lankan cuisine preparation

· Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment

· Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen safety procedures

· Ability to prepare traditional Sri Lankan dishes using authentic spices and cooking techniques

· Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and safe food handling practices

· Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service staff

· Ability to maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion control, and presentation for large orders

Salary: $76000-$85000/year +Super

Pay: $76,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
