We are currently recruiting a punctual and reliable support worker for the case to provide support for an Autistic boy 12 years old autistic boy in South Melbourne. You will be required to support him to set up daily routin and prompting his daily task also may assist their community participation sypport. You will be also required to work in accordance with the strategies placed by the Allied Health Professionals consistantly.
You will be required to attend primary hours between 15:30~20:00 (Wed and Friday) for 2-3 days in a week, and flexible hours for the school holiday time.
Experience in deliverying support to Autistic children or Youth is preferable. Driving reliable vehicle is required.

POSITION OBJECTIVES
This position supports people with disabilities by following best practice, relevant laws, and service standards. The role includes reporting any issues or breaches to the line manager and understanding workplace and client safety risks. The person in this role should be able to work both independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality support to all service users.
HOME CARE SUPPORT
Demonstrated skills required are:
· In conjunction with the supervisor to provide flexible and responsive support to people who experience disabilities, including families or carers as appropriate.
· Work in collaboration with the client, carer/family on addressing home care duties and personal support as required (may include duties as below, but not limited)
- Daily living tasks (It may includes feeding, cooking, cleaning and doing laundry)
- Hygiene tasks (It may include personal care, shower and toileting)
- Transportation
- Assisting Shopping needs
- Medication administration (if it is required)
- Community participation
- Assistance in building client self-image and self-confidence.
· Ensure support practice is consistent with relevant legislative, policy and service standard frameworks.
· Actively promote and facilitate client involvement in the delivery and evaluation of the service provision.
· Work closely with the supervisor to develop Person-centred Plans in conjunction with clients
- Behaviour observation and support
- Maintaining critical record of client (eg. Incident report, progress report, overnight seizure diary etc)
· Support ongoing respite programs and activities

· Certificate III in Disability (or above) or other relevant qualification or working towards
· Work permitted visa. (if not a Australian PR or citizenship holder)
· Valid Australian Driver’s License.
· Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and CPR.
· Clearance of NDIS worker screening check
