The role:
Due to fast paced growth, Brennan's Cybersecurity practice is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to join our Security Enginerring team in Canberra.
As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will own the end-to-end delivery of high level/low level solution designs, consult with customers, lead projects and coordinate across teams. You will also provide thought leadership, guidance, and strategic advice to our customers on cybersecurity matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop high level and detailed solution designs that meet business and technical requirements
- Lead delivery of complex solution components across multiple workstreams
- Provide expert consulting, guiding clients through trade-offs, decision points, and risk implications
- Translate business needs into structured designs, requirements, and implementation guidance
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the solution fits enterprise constraints and objectives
- Mentor and guide junior staff through project delivery activities
Key skills & qualifications required:
- Clear and concise communication
- Attention to detail with the ability to discern checkbox compliance from security control intent and efficacy
- A strong baseline knowledge of wintel infrastructure, network fundamentals, and security technologies to support the areas such as:
- Microsoft centric Identity, Access, and Directory Services
- Identity and endpoint security
- Vulnerability Management: Tenable is highly desirable
- SIEM and centralised platforms: Microsoft Sentinel is desirable
- Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure
