Job Description

In this role you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager, offering an exciting pathway into the world of healthcare. The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) to provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care. The AIN assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), supports patient comfort and wellbeing, and contributes to the smooth operation of the ward while maintaining professional standards and infection prevention practices.

About You

Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care) or equivalent or have completed the first year of a Bachelor of Nursing program.
Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and patient-centred care.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Understanding of infection prevention and workplace health and safety principles.
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role including assisting with patient mobility and personal care.
